Currently, there are none that may affect them.

According to the current measures established by the governments, we want to remind you that the perimetral confinment consists in the limitation of movement ouside th city of Barcelona during the weekends. Inside the city is possible to move as until now, from 6 in the morning to 22 at night, time when our residents must be in the residence. During the weekdays movement will be free inside the autonomy (region) of Catalonia.

Regarding the limitation of the sports activities, it doesn’t affect our students, who – as Professional Program students – will be able to keep wih ther sports education activities.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”POSSIBLE FUTURE MEASURES IN BARCELONA” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-question-circle” title_align=”separator_align_left” align=”align_left” color=”blue” add_icon=”true”][vc_column_text]The spanish government has announced that, in order to enter the country starting from November the 23rd, it will be mandatory to have proof of a negative PCR test maximum 72 hours old prior the border crossing. This will affect to any person who is coming from a country considered “risky” by the government.

This measure does NOT affect Marcet students, since they don’t need to cross any border, but it can affect those students who decide to travel during the months of December or January. Marcet is not interrupting the Professional Program during these months, so the students have no need to leave the country.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”MARCET MEASURES: SPORT EDUCATION ACTIONS” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-info-circle” title_align=”separator_align_left” align=”align_left” color=”blue” add_icon=”true”][vc_column_text]Sport education actions of the Professional Program are not affected. According to the statistical data collected during the last months at Marcet, are not a source of contagion. Therefore, at Marcet sport education actions happen without disruption according to the individualised plans for each student.

In order to carry out any administration arrangement, we encourage parents to use telematic means, but it is possible to come to our facilities with an appointment with someone of Marcet staff.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”MARCET MEASURES: RESIDENCE” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-info-circle” title_align=”separator_align_left” align=”align_left” color=”blue” add_icon=”true”][vc_column_text]At Marcet we have made serological tests to our students after a month of normal activity in order to know if the measures we has put in place were successfull. And they were. No infections were detected, so we can conclude that our measures are efficient and it is very important to keep respecting them.

It is mandatory to wear a facemask always when in shared spaces, except for:

  • During the active sport education actions
  • When eating or drinking

Resident stundents must respect the rules stablished by the staff at all times and report any symptom they may have.

New students that arrive to Marcet must bring a recent negative medical test or perform one at his or her arrival.

Any student that may show symptoms will enjoy rooms and spaces specially reserved for their comfort and minimize their interaction until test determine that he or she is nor infected.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”MARCET MEASURES: ACADEMIC EDUCATION ACTIONS” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-info-circle” title_align=”separator_align_left” align=”align_left” color=”blue” add_icon=”true”][vc_column_text]At the moment, all the academics are happening as usual. All our students must wear masks during study and leisure time.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”WHAT IF…?” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-question-circle” title_align=”separator_align_left” align=”align_left” color=”blue” add_icon=”true”][vc_column_text]Marcet has a commitment with its students regarding football, academics, residence and personal growth that will honour under any circumstance. After the March 2020 experience, we know which are the measures we must put in place in order to guarantee the wellbeing and education of our students. No matter the circumstances.

What if…

  • … my son or daughter had symptoms?: Students must report as soon as possible any symptom they may have. Marcet staff is educated to make the first triage of the symptoms. Any discomfort will be properly dealt with. If a student shows suspicious symptoms, he or she will be placed in an area specially reserved for his or her comfort and we will proceed with a medical appointment in order to determine if we are dealing with a possible case or not.
  • … there was a case in Marcet?: All measures in place so far have been tested and proven effective. But, if there was the case of a positive, the student would be placed in an area specially reserved for his or her comfort and to avoid interaction with other students. Regarding sports, the student will follow a special plan adapted to his or her circumstances and he or she will have a plan of introspective and individual sport education actions contemplated in the program. Regarding academics, he or she will have the means to follow his or her studies on line according to the specific strategy of the school.
  • … the schools close?: Even if it is not a measure under consideration right now, we are prepared. Every school will continue on-line according to their specific strategies. Our students will keep up joining the routines of their teammates who already chose an on-line school.
  • … the use of the field were restricted?: Even if it is not a measure under consideration right now, we are prepared. Our players would continue with their individual, introspective and / or analytic sport education actions.
  • … there was a total confinment?: In this extreme case, at Marcet we have our residents organised in coexistence bubbles that allow them to keep their social life without the risk of infection. As happened in March 2020, the resident students will enjoy ample space (Marcet facilities have many square metres) to spend the day dedicated to their education actions. As exposed in previous bullet points, the academic, sports and personal growth education do not stop because of the confinement. On the contrary, it is more important than ever. Marcet has a commitment with their students and will always honour it.
