A Promising Future
{mb_sdlf_jugador_SDLF-jugador_frase-destacada}Ibrahim Dagga, a young footballer with Panamanian roots, aims to reach the professional level after his time at Marcet and Puerto Cabello.
Beginnings in Panama
“I started playing football when I lived in Panama; I was 9 years old and joined a team called Shooting Stars. It was a neighborhood team, and all my friends were there. Every weekend, we had quadrangular tournaments between schools and some teams that were near that area,” recalls Ibrahim Dagga about his early steps. These formative years were crucial in developing his passion and sports skills.
Experience at Marcet
The transition to Marcet in Barcelona marked a significant milestone in his career. “I came to the academy because my dad and a friend told me about a football school in Barcelona, Spain, where many players had already gone to professional teams. The truth is, it really caught my attention knowing that I could have a new experience, and best of all, in Europe, considering the possibility of playing professionally,” explains Ibrahim.
His time at Marcet was transformative: “My experience there has been wonderful from day one. I have learned many new things and felt much more confident playing. Each trip has been different and, above all, has allowed me to improve my performance as an athlete.” This positive experience drives him to return: “I would like to go back because I feel there is always something more I can learn, and the experience of being there makes me enjoy football from a completely different perspective.”
Playing for a First Division Team
The opportunity to play for Puerto Cabello (a team in Venezuela’s first division) arose unexpectedly. “The possibility came after an invitation from the team to conduct some trials so they could see me playing, and since then, I have felt very comfortable and also very happy to be playing there,” shares Ibrahim. This experience has been fundamental for his growth: “The opportunity to train with the first division team has been an extraordinary experience, being winners of different tournaments and having the chance to improve my technique.”
Strengths and Goals
With a clear vision of his skills and areas for improvement, Ibrahim defines himself as follows: “I consider myself a very fast player, crucial in 1v1 situations and also with a good shot. I want to continue working on aerial play and improving my weaker foot.”
Looking to the Future
Ibrahim has big ambitions for his career: “I see myself playing professional football, whether in Spain or with the Vinotinto. I see myself with a career and playing the sport I love the most.” His determination and focus on continuous growth position him as a young talent with a bright future in football.
