Marcet Cultural Week: Learning Beyond the Classroom
{mb_sdlf_jugador_SDLF-jugador_frase-destacada}Cultural activities like visits to MNAC and Cosmocaixa strengthen learning during a week full of practical and interactive experiences.
Marcet’s Cultural Week is celebrated annually after the first term’s exams and tournaments, providing students an active break to learn differently. This event aims to reinforce the knowledge gained in the classroom through activities that connect theory with practice.
This year, students participated in cultural visits related to key subjects in their curriculum. Art History students explored the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), where they could see works they had studied in class. This experience allowed them to directly connect with Spain’s artistic heritage, enriching their theoretical understanding.
Similarly, science students enjoyed a day at Cosmocaixa, the Science Museum of Barcelona. This interactive space enabled them to learn through hands-on experiences, touching and experimenting with topics they had already discussed in theory. “It’s a way to make what they’ve studied in class tangible,” organizers emphasized.
Cultural Week reflects Marcet’s educational approach, which focuses on active learning, participation, and linking theory to practice. This model aims to ensure that students experience their education in a dynamic way, sparking curiosity and deepening their interest in academic subjects.
