Marcet Reinforces Sports Training at the Irish College in Mexico City
{mb_sdlf_jugador_SDLF-jugador_frase-destacada}Marcet’s commitment to sports education in Mexico continues to grow, and the Irish College in Mexico City is a clear example of this. For some time, Marcet has been responsible for the sports training of students at this institution, with dedicated coaches implementing their methodology directly in the school. Additionally, in a continuous effort to enrich their approach, coaches from the Irish College recently visited our facilities in Barcelona to receive specialized training and get to know our educational and sports philosophy up close.
In November, Irish College students, guided by Marcet coaches, participated in the Friendship Tournament, the largest school sports competition in Latin America. This year, it celebrated its 41st edition in Querétaro with the participation of more than 9,300 athletes. Although the competing teams are not official Marcet teams, they do have the comprehensive training of our coaches, which reflects the trust this prestigious institution has placed in us to develop the talent of their students.
The impact of this joint work is not limited to competition. The Marcet methodology seeks to train athletes and individuals with values and skills that allow them to succeed in a dynamic and challenging society. This aligns with the vision of the Irish College, whose students have stood out in the Tournament, becoming champions in the 2013 male category and finalists in 2006 and 2010. These achievements reflect not only student talent but also Marcet coaches’ commitment to their holistic development.
The Friendship Tournament is a competition and a platform to foster values such as unity, mutual respect, and healthy competition. Organized by the Semper Altius Schools Network and the Prepa Anáhuac Network, along with the participation of institutions like Mano Amiga, the event strengthens the educational community through an atmosphere of friendship and inclusion.
This exchange of experiences and the trust placed by the Irish College in Marcet mark an essential step in our mission to use sports as a tool for transformation and education, both on and off the playing field. We will continue working to form successful athletes and citizens committed to a positive impact on their environment.
