Sulaiman Al Arouj, the Kuwaiti player trained at Marcet, who plays in the youth categories of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr, shares his determination to succeed in football.
Sulaiman Al Arouj, a talented Kuwaiti player, has shown that dedication and hard work are the keys to success in high-level football. His journey from Al-Arabi SC to the Marcet Academy and, finally, the youth development program of Al Nassr, the Saudi club of legends like Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané, is a testament to his commitment to the sport he loves.
Al Arouj takes his training, rest, and nutrition seriously, considering them fundamental to achieving his goals. However, on the field, he plays with joy, cleverness, and flair. “I consider myself a fast player, with good ball-handling skills and an excellent shot on target,” the left winger or forward describes himself.

Before joining the Marcet Academy, Al Arouj played for Al-Arabi SC, the most successful team in Kuwait’s top division. “It was my father who suggested I go to Marcet, being a powerful and respected organization in Europe, known for producing high-quality footballers,” recalls Al Arouj. And he fondly remembers, “The best part of Marcet was the trips and tournaments, such as Jaca, Oviedo, and the fondest memory, winning the Mad Cup in Madrid, where we faced huge teams like Atlético Madrid, River Plate, and Tigres.”

Reflecting on his time at Marcet, Sulaiman acknowledges the holistic development he experienced. “I feel much better on and off the field. I believe I’ve improved significantly in terms of technique and as a person, thanks to the values they teach us,” says the winger. His move to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, a team featuring international stars, makes him feel fortunate. “Not many young players have the opportunity to learn from legends like Cristiano, Mané, Brozovic, and other great players,” he notes.
Sulaiman Al Arouj is living a dream, but he also focuses on hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance. “My goals haven’t changed, but they have become more intense because the challenge of being at such a big club demands it. I must take care of my dream, eat well, train properly, and be a better person,” finishes the talented Kuwaiti player.
